Ironman Training

CDA Team

The Club Emerald IronCrew selects an Ironman event each year and focuses their base, preparation and peak training to this ultimate test of physical endurance and celebration of the human spirit.

The IronCrew is run as a separate team with the chosen event dictating our training schedule. We will generally spend 18-22 weeks with dedicated training pointing toward our goal event. The months leading up to the kick-off of our training will be filled with base training and conditioning to ensure the best season possible.

2005, 2006 and 2007 saw us head east of the mountains to Ironman Coeur d'Alene. 2008 has brought us a change of venue as we have chosen to venture to Ironman Arizona. This test of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run will bring out every possible human emotion as you train for and ultimately conquer this unbelievable race of all races.
